Galaxy Z Flip 8: Full Specifications

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 8 keeps the compact flip format at the centre of the experience, folding down to a pocket friendly shape while opening to a 6.9 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The outer 4.1 inch FlexWindow is large enough for quick interactions, widgets and previews without constantly unfolding the phone, and the slim build stands out at 180 g with an unfolded thickness of 6.1 mm. Durability is also a key part of the design, with an Armor Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the cover and an IP48 rating. Inside, the phone pairs a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip with 12 GB of RAM and either 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, giving it the headroom expected from a premium foldable. The camera system includes a 50 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultrawide and a 10 MP front camera, with FlexCam supporting hands free shooting at different angles. A 4,300 mAh battery, 25 W wired charging, wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare round out the package, alongside 5G, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, USB C, Samsung DeX and dual SIM support through nano SIM plus eSIM.

Pros

  • Most compact and lightest foldable in the lineup at 180g
  • FlexCam and Galaxy AI make hands-free, creative shots effortless
  • Most affordable of the three foldables

Cons

  • Smaller battery than the Fold models at 4,300 mAh
  • Only dual rear camera setup, no telephoto lens
  • Smaller cover display compared to some competitors
