Galaxy S26 ultra: Full Specifications

Samsung gives the Galaxy S26 ultra a more refined take on the Ultra formula, with a slimmer 7.9 mm profile, a 214 g body and rounded corners that soften its large footprint without changing its flagship character. The 6.9-inch display uses a 3120 x 1440 Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness rated at 2600 nits, while the built-in Privacy Display adds an unusual focus on on-screen discretion. The phone also keeps the integrated S Pen, making it a natural fit for note-taking, sketching and detailed edits. Its rear camera system combines a 200 MP wide camera with 50 MP ultrawide, 50 MP 5x telephoto and 10 MP 3x telephoto modules, plus 8K video recording at 30 fps. Samsung pairs that hardware with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy and One UI 8.5, with configurations that range from 256 GB and 12 GB of RAM up to 1 TB and 16 GB. A 5000 mAh battery, 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB, Samsung DeX and dual-SIM flexibility through nano-SIM and eSIM round out a device designed to handle both serious work and premium everyday use.

Pros

  • he new "Privacy Display" technology makes the screen unreadable to anyone looking from an angle.
  • The improved 200 MP main sensor offers significantly better low-light performance and faster autofocus.
  • The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip provides the best gaming and multitasking experience on any Android device.

Cons

  • With a starting price of $1,949.99 CAD, it is one of the most expensive smartphones on the market.
  • The device remains very large and heavy, making it difficult to use with one hand for many users.
  • Despite the high price, the 45W charging speed has not been upgraded to match faster competitors.
