Samsung Galaxy A53 5g: Full Specifications

Blending a clean, modern build with solid everyday hardware, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5g centres its experience on a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Gorilla Glass 5 helps protect the front, while the body is rated IP67 for resistance to dust and fresh water. At 159.6 x 74.8 x 8.1 mm and 189 g, it stays in the familiar large-screen range without becoming unusually bulky. Inside, Samsung pairs the phone with its Exynos 1280 processor and Android 12 with One UI 4.1 at launch. Depending on the version, memory and storage configurations include 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage, and microSD expansion is supported up to 1 TB. The rear camera system combines a 64 MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 12 MP ultra-wide, and 5 MP macro and depth cameras, while the 32 MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Video recording reaches 4K at 30 fps. A 5,000 mAh battery, 25W wired charging, 5G, Wi-Fi ac, NFC, and an in-display fingerprint sensor round out a mid-range Samsung phone that covers the essentials with a polished feature set.

Pros

  • 5G: As a midrange Samsung device, the A53 5G is a great first phone to try out the newest generation of mobile network.
  • Camera Options: With four lenses on the back of the phone, the A53 5G is a great choice for aspiring photographers.

Cons

  • Only slightly better than its predecessor: The A53 5G offers no major improvements, aside from battery life.
  • Price: With the Galaxy A52 5G available for less money, it's hard to justify purchasing the A53 5G at a higher price point.
