Galaxy A13 5G: Full Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is built around a straightforward, practical design with a 6.5-inch HD+ display that uses a 90 Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling than many entry-level phones from its generation. Its body measures 164.5 x 76.5 x 8.8 mm and weighs 195 g, giving it a larger in-hand feel, while the side-mounted fingerprint sensor, USB-C port and 3.5 mm headphone jack keep the everyday essentials in place. Samsung paired the phone with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage on the US model, with microSD expansion up to 1 TB for extra room. The rear camera system centres on a 50 MP main camera, supported by 2 MP macro and 2 MP depth lenses, and both front and rear video top out at 1080p at 30 fps. A 5,000 mAh battery and 15 W charging round out the package, alongside sub-6 5G, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and Samsung Knox security. Altogether, it is a simple Galaxy model that focuses on reliable basics, battery life and broad connectivity rather than premium extras.

Pros

  • Price: As a budget Samsung phone with 5G capabilities, Canadians can expect to pay around $319 CAD for a brand new A13.
  • Battery: Despite being a budget phone, the A13 5G boasts an impressive 5,000 mAh battery.

Cons

  • Display & Refresh Rate: The device's 90Hz refresh rate combined with its 720 x 1600 pixel display is noticeably worse than premium smartphones.
  • Cameras: While the main camera is impressive, the macro and depth cameras are hardly noticeable.
