iPhone 12 Pro: Full Specifications

Built around a compact 6.1-inch format, the iPhone 12 Pro gives Apple’s premium series a more squared-off look with a stainless steel frame, textured matte glass back and Ceramic Shield front. Its Super Retina XDR OLED display reaches 2532 x 1170 at 460 ppi, with HDR support, True Tone and higher typical brightness than the standard iPhone 12. The A14 Bionic chip keeps everyday performance quick, and storage starts at 128GB with 256GB and 512GB versions also offered. Photography is a major part of the package, with three 12MP rear cameras covering wide, ultra wide and telephoto views, plus a LiDAR scanner that helps with depth effects and low-light focusing. Night mode, Deep Fusion, Apple ProRAW and Dolby Vision HDR video recording up to 4K at 60 fps give it a more advanced camera toolkit than Apple’s regular model from the same generation. The phone also supports 5G, Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and dual SIM through nano-SIM plus eSIM. Battery figures are rated for up to 17 hours of video playback, and charging includes MagSafe up to 15W, Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W and fast wired charging. At 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.4 mm and 189 g, it remains relatively manageable for a Pro device.

Pros

  • Telephoto lens: The iPhone 12 Pro has an added telephoto lens that's perfect for portraits and taking pictures of scenes that are further away.
  • Better screen: The screen on the iPhone 12 Pro is brighter compared to the iPhone 12.
  • Stainless steel body: While the regular iPhone 12 line has an aluminium casing, the iPhone 12 Pro uses stainless steel for added durability.
  • Good affordable upgrade: The price difference between the iPhone 12 128GB and the iPhone 12 Pro 128GB is quite small. If you are interested in the added telephoto lens, the better screen and the aluminium body, you might want to get this model instead of the regular iPhone 12.

Cons

  • 60 Hz screen: While some other flagship Android devices have 120 Hz screens, the iPhone 12 still has a 60 Hz screen.
