Galaxy A20: Full Specifications

Samsung’s Galaxy A20 is a straightforward entry-level phone built around a large 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 720 x 1560 resolution and the brand’s Infinity-V notch design. Its slim body measures 158.4 x 74.7 x 7.8 mm and weighs 169 g, giving it a broad screen without becoming especially heavy. The finish is plastic rather than glass, and the phone includes both face recognition and a rear fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking. Inside, the octa-core processor is paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, with microSD expansion up to 512 GB for photos, music, and everyday apps. The camera setup keeps things simple but versatile, combining a 13 MP main camera with a 5 MP ultra wide camera on the back, plus an 8 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Video recording tops out at 1080p, which suits casual capture well. A 4,000 mAh battery supports 15 W fast charging over USB-C, and the phone also keeps useful basics like a 3.5 mm headphone jack, LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and GPS.

Pros

  • Price: The A20's greatest feature is its price tag. It costs far less than most other Samsung devices. In Canada, it retails at $350, but you should be able to find it for less depending on your provider.
  • Battery: For a budget phone, the A20 boasts an impressive 4000 mAh battery.

Cons

  • Performance: Unfortunately, users have reported a relatively slow performance with the A20. If a rapid performance is deeply important to you, you might want to avoid this device.
  • Material: The A20 is made out of metal and plastic. As a result, the sides and back of the phone are prone to scratches, so users should invest in a strong protective case.
